Almost here!
The sun is out and I finally feel the warmth of spring coming! Yea God!
Good stuff happening
I launched our new weekend series named Torn. Check it out to learn ‘the power of the pivot.'
On April 16th (Saturday services) and April 17th (Sunday services), we will celebrate Easter together as a church family right here and online.
Then on April 21, our friends, Big Daddy Weave will be returning to worship with us (grab your tickets at the Info Desk in The Landing or online), and then on April 24, we will give the opportunity for anyone who wants to surrender to Jesus' call and example, to go All-In with baptism.
It's going to be a FULL WEEK of community, prayer, and worshipping together that we are bundling together for the best Easter week ever!
Let's Talk Estate Planning
We are also offering a fantastic financial opportunity this month. Regardless of your financial position or age, every adult should have an effective estate plan that includes future distribution of resources, outlines important medical decisions, and provides for the guardianship of minor children. Donna and I attended one of these a few years ago here at church and it was outstanding!
One of our ministry partners, Financial Planning Ministry, will be on campus to help remove confusion about estate planning and to provide stewardship opportunities to people at any income level. Families are assisted with crucial estate planning documents without the typical cost of $1,500 to $4,000 incurred elsewhere. Those savings, along with assets saved from avoiding probate, can be redirected to ministries and family members.
Come join us! Register for the On Campus Estate Planning Seminar offered at 9am or 11am on Sunday, March 20.
Save the Date!
As the weather changes, golfers are dusting off their clubs for a round of golf. Here’s a date for you to save!
On June 5, the Life Center is sponsoring the HOPE OPEN – First Annual David Vaughan Golf Tournament with all proceeds benefiting the Life Center. A shotgun start begins at 1:30pm with a banquet following at 7pm. The event will be held at Aston Oaks Golf Club.

Blessings...
There are so many lessons we have learned during the past two years, and I am so thankful for the strong elders, staff, and successor we have here at Whitewater. We are very blessed.
The average church size in America has now shrunk to 65 members! Not us. I saw a fascinating, yet sobering article in the Wall Street Journal not long ago about a dynamic that is occurring right now. Even small churches are finding Hope!
In closing...
As I close today’s Direct, I have some exciting news to share. As I transition out of the Senior Minister chair, we will be transitioning the Direct from David to a different format as well.
When I began the Direct from David 19 years ago, it was the only communication from the church to the body. Now we have dozens of ways we are communicating relevant information to help people find hope in a home in Jesus. I have truly enjoyed writing and sharing my thoughts with all of you. Now we will be blessed to hear from other thought leaders in the church through this vehicle. We are ‘pivoting’!
So stay tuned, and keep checking your inbox regularly for communication which will keep you engaged and encouraged.
See you this Sunday online or in person. I am energized and so excited about this new chapter in our healthy and hopeful church.
