Don't miss...the admonition of "not neglecting the habit of meeting together" (Hebrews 10:25) as a church has never been more important.

Don't miss...

Although we are seeing more and more folks return to in-person services since last September (and our online numbers have never been higher), all of the data suggests that church attendance nationwide has fallen and a decline in church membership has accelerated. This trend was recently confirmed by Gallup. The admonition of "not neglecting the habit of meeting together" (Hebrews 10:25) as a church has never been more important.

Many are just now returning to in-person worship because they have now been vaccinated. I am a huge fan of this!

Introduction: Should Christians take the vaccine? - Christians and the Vaccine. I just completed my second dose. Toward that end, we are pleased to announce we are hosting a Vaccination Clinic here on our campus (see attached flyer at bottom of this email). Appointments are required - no walk-ins. Here are ways to register:

  • Schedule yourself by downloading the app ArmorVax. Set up an account and select a time.
  • Call 513-999-2312 Monday or Tuesday from 9am-5pm.
  • Dial 211 from any phone for United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
  • Come to the Life Center (513-738-7500) Tuesday or Thursday, 5:30-7pm, or Saturday, 9am-noon, to register in person.

The second dose appointment will be scheduled at the time of receiving the first dose. The date for the second dose is May 12. You must be able to come back on that date.

I am encouraging all who call Whitewater home to get the vaccine. The sooner all of us get it, the sooner we can enjoy and welcome more people in person (and eventually without masks).

COVID has taught me many things, but one thing for sure, I will never again take human and relational connection through live worship for granted.

Speaking of worship (in-person or online)

We are continuing our newest series called "Never Enough." How are you doing with Matthew 18, by the way?

JT will continue this week with a sensitive, but critically important subject. He'll be teaching on Jesus' statement - "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." I gave JT the easy ones!! As such, this message will be one of those PG-13 ones we do from time to time. This would be a great opportunity for any of you with younger children to take advantage of our wonderful Harbortown KIDS ministry.

lastly...

What a joy it is to hear from Jesus and His Word each week here at Whitewater. I continue to be so grateful for a flock that encourages JT and me to "preach the truth in love."
