Tim Swanson
Elder
My walk with Jesus Christ began as a teenager, but my early years of faith were rocky. It wasn’t until after I met Debbie that I began taking my faith seriously. Together, we grew in our relationship with the Lord and followed Him in baptism.
After college, God blessed me with a successful business career. In 2003, however, I sensed God’s call to ministry and left my secular career to join the staff of a church in Columbus, Ohio. I returned to school, completed the ordination requirements, and eventually served as Executive Pastor. I retired from my staff role on March 1, 2025.
Debbie and I have two grown sons, Garrett and Blake, and three granddaughters through Blake and his wife, Caylee. Garrett lives and works in New York City, while Blake and his family live in Springfield Township. Following my retirement, Debbie and I moved to Cincinnati to be closer to family. We enjoy traveling and spending time with family. I also enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, and cooking.
At Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, Debbie and I serve at the Information Desk and as door greeters. We are also part of a small group focused on discipleship and reaching others in our community. I am humbled to be considered for the role of Elder. Debbie and I are grateful for our church family and look forward to continuing to serve Jesus and helping Whitewater Crossing make a difference for Christ in our community and around the world.
