Epic things going on at Whitewater - check it out!

Epic...

...that's how our Elder Chair, Bob Stoll described it. What an epic week in the life of our church. In case you've been on vacation and get this today, please check everything out here so you're caught up and can rejoice with us.

JT, Kelly, Donna, and I are celebrating this next step made public last Sunday. I can't wait to cheer JT on and watch God continue His work at Whitewater. We thank you for the outpouring of encouragement and support we have received, these last few days especially. We have a good God and a wonderful elder team who have led all of us so well. Look for further updates and information as this process unfolds, but thank you now for praying each day for us and the entire succession process and team.

Nic Gonzales passed on a great fable to remind us that we must stay united right now against the one that wants to divide us:

A lion used to prowl about a field in which Four Oxen used to dwell. Many a time he tried to attack them, but whenever he came near they turned their tails to one another so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. At last, however, they fell a-quarreling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Then the Lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four.

Speaking of epic...

...our 90 Day Generosity Challenge is off to a fantastic start. Stories are already streaming in about how God is showing up to bless those who made a commitment. Yea God! Got this email last week:

My wife and I started focusing on our debt when we moved to the area. So we had a set amount we were giving while we paid off the debt. The amount we were giving wasn't the whole 10% Tithe. So we prayed and felt that we would trust the Lord over the next 90 days with an increased offering. The amount we decided to increase was immediately returned to us through residual income from our home-based business. I believe our heart was in the right position and that's what he wants, not the amount. Over 90 days we are trusting the Lord with our resources.

I can't explain it, but this is what happens when you trust and test God in this. It's definitely not too late to join the Challenge and watch God work.

Get in the groove

This weekend we launch a brand new groovy summer series - Summer of Love where we will focus on what we call Solve7. We will 'labor for our neighbor' and put our faith into action. Multiple teachers this summer will be bringing the truth and practical application of God's Word to love our neighbor as ourselves.

It will, as other things right now, be Epic.

P.S. If you picked up a backpack last weekend to fill with school supplies for the kids that attend Meet Up! Eat Up! Read Up! and students at Lawrenceburg Primary Schools and Life Center Guests, please return those by July 4th!

If you didn't get one yet, there's still time this coming weekend (6/27).

This is an easy Solve7 initiative to kick off our Summer of Love!
