Whitewater's Food Pantry serves surrounding communities such as Miamitown, Frogtown, Hooven, North Bend, Cleves, Harrison, Addyston, Sayler Park, New Baltimore, and E-Town in Ohio and Bright, Hidden Valley, West Harrison, Lawrenceburg, and Guilford in Indiana, as well as Whitewater members and people they refer.

If you need assistance, please call or stop by the Life Center during its hours of operation. Appointments must be made to receive food assistance. If you are outside our service area, call United Way at 211 to be connected to a pantry in your neighborhood.

If you want to donate to the Food Pantry, please contact the Life Center during its hours of operation or pick up a blue bag at a Sunday service.

Several times a year the Life Center hosts clothing drives/giveaways. We also hold an event called Shoes for Souls each year at the end of summer to provide shoes for school children in need in our area. For more information on these events, contact the Life Center or check the church calendar.

Have you ever thought about trying to find a job, get to work, buy groceries or take the kids to the doctor without a car? In this day and age, it’s difficult, almost impossible, to live in Cincinnati without a vehicle. Wheels is a volunteer team dedicated to helping meet the transportation needs of people in our community. The team reconditions donated vehicles and passes them on to qualified recipients.

Wheels is funded in part by Whitewater and Crossroads.

Have a car, need a car or want to volunteer? Email wheels@whitewatercrossing.org

The Life Center can help secure basic items such as a bed, blankets etc. While we cannot guarantee we have exactly what is needed, we'll do our very best to help you or connect you with other partners in the community that can assist.

Whitewater Crossing's Resource Fund ministers to individuals or families during a time of hardship or crisis by temporarily assisting them with basic needs. It's intended as a last resort, after all other sources of assistance have been explored (i.e. family, savings, investments, etc.).

People inquiring about financial assistance must come to the Life Center to meet one-on-one with an Intake and Assessment Counselor and complete an application. Additional documents may be required for the application to be considered (i.e. bill statements, eviction notice, etc). Please call the Life Center for an appointment.

While these disbursements are often made to cover emergencies, it may take up to 7 days to process the request, so the application should be made as soon as the potential issue is identified. Assistance is provided in the following priority order:

  • Members and regular attendees of Whitewater Crossing Christian Church
  • Referrals by members
  • Members of the community who have a connection to Whitewater Crossing Christian Church
  • Others in our immediate community: (Ohio) Miamitown, Frogtown, Hooven, North Bend, Cleves, Harrison, Addyston, Sayler Park, New Baltimore, and E-Town and (Indiana) Bright, Hidden Valley, West Harrison, Lawrenceburg, and Guilford.

Throughout the year, the Life Center offers classes that cover resume writing, as well as job seeking and interview skills. Check the church calendar for upcoming classes.

One-on-one career coaching and laptop/internet use is available to search for and apply for jobs.

Whitewater Crossing has partnered with two organizations to help make an impact on the well-being of our community:

At LifeWay, we believe total health and happiness grow out of fulfilling, interpersonal relationships. Our programs are skillfully designed to help you establish, restore and/or improve your interpersonal and family relationships.

Whether you, or someone you are concerned about, are facing serious behavioral health problems or less critical, but nonetheless alarming, unresolved issues that are part of everyday living, LifeWay's staff can help you celebrate and enjoy the abundance of life for which you were created.
